Katharine is a contemporary abstract painter. Katharine’s art is a physical representation of her voice… “Whatever it is, tell your story…I tell mine through art. We each have our own experiences that shape our story. That story is powerful, meaningful, and worth sharing with the rest of us!”

Katharine’s general approach to painting is “Mess Around and Find Out,” meaning she rarely starts a painting with an expectation of the outcome…sometimes it works and sometimes she ends up with a mess, but she really loves the process. Two of Katharine’s mentors are Taft McWhorter and David Adickes, both Houston-based artists. They each have guided her through navigating the art business as well as various techniques, mediums, and perspectives.
